The Camelot is a 21 story luxury residential high rise suffering from a failed EIFS System resulting in extensive water infiltration and structural damage. This project is the first of its kind in the industry which required complete dismantling and replacement of the EIFS cladding system and structural steel in an occupied building in the state of New Jersey. The scope of work included removal and repairs of the exterior cladding, replacement of the windows, sliding glass doors, railings, structural repairs to the balconies and roof. The building will be the first of its kind to qualify for federal grants and rebates as a result of energy star ratings it will receive from the products installed. The Accent Group Hired Eastern Contractor Services to install spray foam in all exterior wall cavities. For three months one of Eastern’s three man crews worked on electric scaffolding up to 220 feet high. Eastern installed 83,000 square feet of open cell ½ pound spray foam. Eastern and The Accent Group had to work very closely in order to co-ordinate the installation of the foam between the removal and re-installation of the exterior façade. Although the project was extremely difficult and technical, Eastern beat all scheduled deadlines and finished the work under budget.
